What is your most treasured possession(s)?

My zine collection.

Favorite photo book and/or Favorite movie?

I’m quite fond of Mr. Stephen Shore, his books Uncommon Places and American Surfaces are a must in any serious photog’s collection.

Photographer/s that inspire you?

Oh, there are way too many! Almost daily I find inspiring neat stuff on Flickr, just clicking around. I’m also quite fond of the people that contribute and distribute Hamburger Eyes magazine. Those dudes were my early inspirations and the reason why I started shootin’.

Advice for the younglings out there looking through their first viewfinder?

I spent way too much time using crappy film/equipment, being unhappy with the results. Don’t waste time, money, and memories. If you are shooting film, buy the good stuff. If you are going digital, get an SLR.

What’s the story behind the photo below?

It’s just a simple portrait of a receptionist.

Any future projects or travels?

Focusing on school right now, finishing up my Fine Arts degree. I hope to travel around rural New Mexico this summer with my cousin and maybe hopefully hang out in New York for a little while.

Where can we see more of your work?
