• Where is your favorite place on earth?


Any day where the sands hot, the surf is clean and the single fin is under my feet.

• What would be your replacement Hobby/Profession if photography was dead?


Hopefully a writer of some sorts.

Film but digital has a place of value.

My next plane ticket.

Most recent would be ‘No Country for Old Men’

• Photographer/s that inspire you?


Alec Soth, Bill Viola (video artist) and my friends Warwick Baker and Paul Knight, its not just their talent its their humility.

• Advice for the younglings out there looking through their first viewfinder?


If you love doing it you may not stop and you may just get better and better at doing it.

• What’s the story behind the photo below?


It is a part of a series where I pose the question: What is our reaction when we see the pairing of something beautiful with that which can be indicative of a heinous nature? Do we truly question the multitude of possible scenarios or do we revert our thoughts to that of media driven responses? I would like to prompt the viewer to ask themselves how much of their personal nature are they giving over to today’s media regarding topics of 'War & Violence.

• Any future projects or travels?

I am traveling to Israel for a month in early 2011 to work on a series.
