old photographs and albums of my family.

i’m kind of a movie addict, so there are so many, but a some of my tops are… jaws, true romance, che, into the wild, american splendor, and what’s eating gilbert grape.
• Photographer/s that inspire you?
i think i get more inspired with what’s around me, what i see. but i do enjoy the work of william eggleston and joel sternfeld.
• Advice for the younglings out there looking through their first viewfinder?
be a doctor.
• What’s the story behind the photo below?
while walking around the outskirts of havana, cuba we came across this old sports arena. after passing by a sleeping guard and then talking our way passed a couple more we made our way inside to find a group of local basketball players practicing. there was no power on, but the natural light was just enough for everyone to see.
• Any future projects or travels?
have a couple group shows coming up here in San Francisco and a visit to my dad in the fla keys next month.
